Nina has not left the hospital since Willow was brought in pregnant, dying, and unconscious. She is worried about Wiley losing the only mother he has ever known, but also fears for Willow and can’t believe she let her cancer become stage 4. She and Sonny even pay a visit to the chapel to light a candle for Willow.
That’s where Carly finds them after Drew convinces her she can’t keep the secret of Willow’s parentage any longer. Carly does not want to tell the truth but knows she has to and drops that bomb on a disbelieving Nina, who can’t imagine why Carly would tell her such a thing.
