The manhunt continues for Holly with Rafe and Hope ramping up their efforts. Every second that ticks by brings more and more alarm. The reality is, the longer she is gone ,the harder she will be to find.
Poor Nicole reaches her breaking point. It takes Eric and Maggie to hold her together. The trio is emotional wrecks as they await news of Holly and Nicole relays bits an pieces of her harrowing ordeal.
It wasn’t easy to get back to Salem, but nobody knows why she couldn’t just use a phone and give someone a call during her travels. Little does anyone know the DA is well aware of the little girl’s hiding place. He helped put her there, he is helping keep her there, and he may help her disappear again.
He is Xander’s puppet and will do anything the criminal mastermind says. Of course, who is Xander really working for? To what end, though? Is Xander intent on torturing Nicole or will he use the little girl for leverage? Anything is possible. Xander is known to be cruel and never takes mercy on anyone.
Meanwhile, Sarah tries and fails to stuff down her feelings. As upset as she is for Nicole and Holly, she cannot help grieve for herself too. Nicole’s homecoming means stepping back from Eric once and for all.
It will be Marlena who picks up the pieces of Sarah’s shattered heart. She pushed hard for this union only to watch it fall apart before her eyes, too.
