Hattie is about to take Marlena’s place in the hospital as John, Roman and Kayla scheme to keep Marlena on the ventilator. In story, John doesn’t want the plug to be pulled on Marlena so he concocts a plan with Kayla and Roman.

They get Hattie out of jail and ushers her in to replace Marlena as they put Marlena in a secret room in the hospital. They keep Marlena hooked up to the machines hoping that there will be some change and she will recover. In the meantime. “Marlena” wakes up as Hattie, will she be able to pull off this scheme without the kids; Sami, Belle and Eric figuring out the truth.

Marlena has had the worst luck of anyone in Salem. She was shot at her own wedding… by her own daughter! And all of this happened before she got to say her vows to the man she’s loved for the last 30 years.

It seemed like she was on the mend until she developed sepsis and was put on a ventilator. Unfortunately, she had arranged for a Do Not Resuscitate order and the hospital was forced to follow it through.

On Monday, she’s is taken off life support and her family prepares for the worst… or so we think. Has Marlena run out of miracles? Sami is grateful that Rafe allowed her to be at the hospital with her family as they prepare for her mother to die. But she and Belle are both thrown when they get a chilly reception from a loved one. Ben is not pleased with Hope’s move, claiming she has evidence that proves he set the fire when he knows he didn’t do anything.
