The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, April 12 promise another day of plotting and scheming, but it all doesn’t go the way someone had it planned. Phyllis potentially plays the wrong card, as Lauren resolves to look out for number one her way. You won’t want to miss a moment of this action-packed episode.
Phyllis had a best-laid plan, plus the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Here is how this was going to go down: While Phyllis took Summer for a girls’ spa weekend, her spy would take pictures of Kyle canoodling with Lola.
Then, Phyllis would use those pictures to break up her daughter’s spur of the moment, very stupid marriage AND use the info to blackmail Kyle and Jack into cutting Fenmore’s free from Jabot. So Phyllis could take over.
But her plan hit a little snag. Kyle and Lola did get a hotel room together that was even more than Phyllis was expecting. But they didn’t have sex. Kyle decided he couldn’t go through with it. He had to talk to Summer first and explain that he still loves Lola, which she should already know anyway.
So now Kyle and Summer are talking…and are both of Phyllis’ plans in danger of failing miserably? Phyllis told Lauren to trust her. Phyllis would not only get Fenmore’s back from Jabot, but she would also run it. (As successfully as she ran Jabot? We’ll unpack that another time.)
