The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, April 5 reveal a day of everything old being new again, which isn’t always a good thing. There’s an odd thaw in Jack and Phyllis’ relationship, while Billy decides Victoria couldn’t possibly be happy without him and offers some bad news. Jack and Phyllis initially broke up because she had an affair with his brother. Some people are just overly-sensitive. Relations between them didn’t exactly thaw after Phyllis and Billy broke up, because, by that point, Phyllis was CEO of Jabot. The job Jack has felt all his life was his by birthright.

Now that Jack is back in the big chair and Ashley is taunting him with gift baskets promising that he’s going to be the one to drive Jabot into the ground he and Phyllis reconnect on a different level. They’re not just in-laws now that Kyle is married to Summer, they’re also inching towards being friends.

And Jack never really stopped loving Phyllis, did he…? Those flings with Gloria and Kerry had to have meant nothing. Billy learned via social media that Victoria is having fun on her own in Las Vegas. He decided that’s a bad sign. She’s clearly suffering pay no attention to the fun she appears to be having.
