Summer always wants what she can’t have. Now that Kyle wants Lola, Summer naturally wants Kyle. And well, she also now knows Billy just bedded her to get back at her mother, so she really must give up on that one.

oung and the Restless fans watched Mal Young ruin key characters. Victor Newman, Ashley Abbott , and JT Hellstrom were all recently ruined. The destruction of William J Bell’s legacy and dismissal of beloved characters destroyed ratings. Additionally, many of the remaining characters have had a complete change in personality. The current Y&R is almost unrecognizable.

In the past, Young and the Restless was grounded in the Abbott, Hamilton, and Newman families. Each family was anchored by strong personalities. However, that has all changed when Mal Young took over as the Head Writer and Executive Producer.

Beyond the dismissal of fan favorites and the change in others, new characters are appearing at an alarming rate. In the last month alone, Mia Rosales, Kerry Jones, and Ted the receptionist arrived in Genoa City. Y&R ratings continue to decline to the point that fans are asking on social media wonder if this is actually Mal Young’s goal.
