Sally seems to be seriously considering working with Adam at McCall Unlimited. Sure, both Nick and Chloe expressed their dismay at the possibility, but Sally is her own woman. Not only does Sally need an income to raise her daughter, but also, she wants to be a good role model for the little girl.
Sally needs the sense of self that she gets from a job. Of course, Sally could continue running her own business if she’d simply take Nick up on his offer to invest. That’s what Chloe wants her to do, and in doing so, Sally would end up helping Chloe stay employed — because working for Adam is not an option Chloe is willing to do.
Sally ponders an important decision because she realizes that she’s probably playing with fire with the Newman brothers. As much as she wants to deny it, there’s still something simmering between her and Adam, and Sally also seems to realize that Nick doesn’t love her…he’s in like with her.
