Whether she really was being abused by her fellow inmates, we don’t really know. What’s for sure is that Luna wasn’t going to leave Bill alone. She wrote letter after letter, trying to forge a connection. She pointed to their common upbringing as the reason why he is the only person who understands her.
After seeing Luna’s face bloodied and bruised, Bill started to cave. He demanded to know exactly how she killed Tom (Clint Howard) and Hollis. Luna regretfully recounted how she poisoned them.
