The Bold and the Beautiful’s Katherine Kelly Lang Completes Another Ironman

The coronavirus crisis hasn’t kept Katherine Kelly Lang from staying in shape. The Bold and the Beautiful star may not be in production right now as the show is on hiatus, but she’s still working overtime to accomplish her goals!

“[I did] 35 miles today…” Lang posted on Instagram. “I am building up my mileage little by little to get into @ironmantri top form😃👍#cycling #cyclinglife #ironmantriathlon #healthylifestyle #pinerellodogma #rydyourdreams.”

Eileen Davidson, who once brought Ashley Abbott, her character from The Young and the Restless, over to BB and was Brooke’s rival for Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) affections, is among the many who marvel at Lang’s accomplishment. “WHAT!!!!!!!????” an incredulous Davidson posted.

“Come with me next time! 😃,” Lang responded. Lang, who has exercised her whole life, has athleticism in her genes. Lang’s father is Olympic ski jumper Keith R. Wegeman, who appeared in Green Giant vegetable commercials as the Jolly Green Giant.

In 2018, Lang completed her third Ironman race. She and her partner, Dominique Zoida, traveled to South Africa to compete in the challenge, which included a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run! Lang completed the physical journey in six hours and 44 minutes.

Watch for Lang to be featured prominently next week when BB re-airs some classic wedding episodes. Viewers will see both Brooke’s first wedding to Ridge (then-Ronn Moss) in 1994. The episode brought back the Logan family for the ceremony.

Alas, there’s a snag that takes place calling into question the legality of the union. Also showing next week is Eric and Brooke’s first storybook wedding, which culminated in the pair riding off in a hot air balloon in Palm Springs — much to Stephanie’s dismay!

The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
