Phyllis doesn’t seem like she thought too long or too hard about faking her own death the same way Diane had done. Sure, she’d already accused Diane of being the worst mother of all time, and then Phyllis went and did the same thing, leaving her children grieving when they didn’t have to.
Now, after all is said and done, Phyllis second-guesses her alliance with Jeremy. It’s hard to figure out why she didn’t consider all this before. Christine had no love lost for Phyllis. Sure, she wouldn’t have run her down with a car, but it’s no secret that she and Phyllis were not pals by any stretch of the imagination. Now, she’s tasked with getting justice for Phyllis.
Not only that, but Christine also lives in a city where at least a few people loved Phyllis, and almost everybody misses her. Lauren is one such person. Christine commiserates with Lauren over losing Phyllis. It’s got to be tough to be in her situation, but it appears as if Christine is trying to do right by her “late” nemesis.
