B&B shut down production in March because of the COVID shelter-in-place order in California. Whereas different states are starting to loosen restrictions and open up, CA locked down tighter and extended their quarantine by way of May 15.
Even when Bold and the Beautiful solid and crew hopped again to work the day the lockdown ends, it could take three to 4 weeks earlier than new reveals made it to air. And, with rumors that LA might stay locked down even longer, that seems hopeless.
Plus, making movies and TV reveals like Bold and the Beautiful is, by definition, non-essential so far as the government’s concerned. For cleaning soap followers, although, it’s a giant deal. Now, both CBS soaps launched theme weeks with no new episodes to air.
